A very intimate and emotional tour
My girlfriend and I booked this tour, and we met Catalina in the meeting point in the Unirii Boulevard, just to see that we were the only ones on the tour! So, it became the most intimate walking tour we had ever had! Catalina was charming and interesting all the time, showing us al the pros and cons of the communist regime of Nicolae Ceaucescu. We learned a lot! We also tasted typical chocolate bars from that time, and even we took photos with the handkerchief that children wore at school as members of the Pioneers.

I f you have time to spend on Bucharest, and you are eager to know about the life under the Ceaucescu regime and the Revolution of 1989, do not hesitate and book this tour.

Stellar tour!!
This tour is amazing! I had limited time in Bucharest and decided to get to Bulgaria while I was closeby. SO happy I did! My tour guide, Constantine, was extremely knowledgeable about Romanian and Bulgarian history and the UNESCO sites we visited. I asked a million questions about Bucharest and the sites we visited which he so nicely answered. I could not have asked for a better day or tour guide! I would recommend this tour for small groups and individuals.

If you are interested in street art, you need to do this tour!
Elena was great! I was running late, she was waiting for me and showed me really nice street art and the story and meaning behind it. At the end of the tour, we even wrote an poem about Bucharest, that I enjoyed very much. Thank you. I recommend this tour strongly, if you are interested in street art and the alternative part of Bucharest.

Excellent and personal Tour
Catalina gives an excellent and informative tour. She puts her passion into the journey through the dark communist times to the revolution and democracy. She is very personable and will answer any question about Rumania from past to the present. We thoroughly enjoyed the three hours “time travel”,

Wonderful scenery and amazing guide
I went on a day trip to Peles Castle, Pestera village, Magura village and Zarnesti Gorges with Dan and it was definitely a highlight of my trip to Romania!! In a day I was able to see a castle, visit picturesque local villages hidden in the rolling mountains, enjoy some excellent home cooking (all organic!), and also walk through a gorge! It is a unique combination of activities that I can't find from other agencies and is undoubtedly a nice sampler of what Romania has to offer if you don't have a lot of time.

Dan was very helpful starting from the booking process and was always seeking to tailor the trip according to my preferences. While a lot was covered in a day I didn't feel rushed at all and I was able to take my time taking photos or just taking in the spectacular scenery. Dan is knowledgeable, fun and patient and even my many questions about the haystacks couldn't trick him :)

It was great scenery and great company and I definitely hope I can come back again soon for longer hiking trips and to see what new destinations Dan and his team have discovered.

Thanks again Dan!

A taste of Transylvania – a great day trip from Bucharest
Me and a small group of friends went on this tour last month on a sunny Sunday morning – the perfect day to get away from Bucharest, admire the Transylvanian countryside and learn a bit more about Bran & Peles castles. Even though traffic was a bit hectic that weekend, our guide & driver kept us entertained with a lot of interesting facts about the history of the sites and the surroundings.
Later during the day, he had a funny way of presenting Bran Castle, confronting facts with fiction and the figure of Vlad the Impaler with that of Dracula. The last stop of the day was in Brasov where, after seeing the fortifications and admiring the city from atop the White Tower, we stopped for dinner at a lovely traditional restaurant. It was a very nice day and I would highly recommend this tour!

Our last day in Romania is the trip to Bran castle, Pestera valley and an easy hike to Piatra Craiului. Dan was flexible enough to accomodate our request and arrange our tour with his staff Adrian and Bogdan our guide.

Although it was a rainy day, Our guide made sure we would enjoy the trip and made some planning options along the way in case the weather got worse.

At the end of the day we stayed with the original plan, its only unfortunate that we were not able to reach the camp at the Piatra Craiului due to the weather - Still an enjoyable day, hearing the history of Romania from Bogdan and enjoying the view around Pestera. Romania is definelty a wonderful country to visit! And I highly recommend Dan and his team for a great experience of the Romanian outdoors.

Superb tour guide
Booked a "Hidden Bucharest" tour with Alina and we weren't disappointed. Her communication at all times (before, during and since) has been excellent and she made sure prior to the tour she knew exactly what we were interested in. We visited parks, historic sights (with detailed explanations given), hidden bar/coffee shops as well as a few gems such as visiting the opera hall which we never would have realised we could without her. Alina herself is a superb guide with strong English, a great sense of humour and the right amount of quirkiness which fitted perfectly with us. I can' rate her highly enough and would happily go on a tour with her again - if we go to Constanta we'll collect on the drink she promised ;-)

Transfagarasan 1 Day Trip
Transfagarasan Road also named the Transylvanian Alps was a very nice place to visit for one weekend day, we saw many places, such as: Curtea de Arges Monastery, Poenari Citadel- famous thanks to Dracula's Legend, Vidraru Lake, Balea Lake, beautiful Fagaras Mountains views. The road reaches his highest point of 2034 m at the Balea Lake, after passing through Romania's longest road tunnel, the Capra Tunnel. Everybody should visit this unique road, which is one of the highest ones in Romania! We had the trip organized and included : transport from Bucharest , English speaking guide. We took a lot of pictures to remember the places we liked the most! Visit Transfagarasan!

Jewish Heritage and Old Town, walking tour
Alina is amazing tour guide; professional, well organized and enthusiastic! My companions and I spent 4 hours touring the Jewish area and the old town section. Alina is very knowledgeable about this subject and took us to the local synagogues. We had already down a tour of the old town area so Alina took us to places that were less well known. Her tour was so much better than the one we took with the trip we were on. Alina also recommended places for us to /eat closer to our hotel, the Sheraton. They were fantastic.

Bottom line, she can't do enough for you! She easily could tell what interests our group had. She is passionate about her city and wants you to be too!

Great evening learning about (and tasting) Romanian wines
Mihai (Michael) picked me up on time from my hotel and we went to Bucharest’s first wine bar. Our host provided lots of information about the history of wine-making in Romania, what happened during the communist era, and what's happening now. He shared his enthusiasm for wine-making with us, and I learnt a lot about the climate, science and economics of wine.

The wines were great and we got to sample many glasses. I bought a lovely bottle of Pinot, though was under no pressure to do so. The traditional sausages and cheeses that accompanied the wine were very nice, too. Totally unhurried and with all questions answered. Highly recommended!

Fantastic tour with an excellent guide
This is a brilliant full day tour for anyone who is interested in the history of Romania and the Ceausescu period in particular. Our guide Florin was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and shared his personal experiences and those of his family. Even though we booked the tour at short notice he had managed to get us tickets into the People's Palace and the Spring Palace, the Ceausescu's unbelievably decadent home. He also tailored the tour to our interests, showing us an exhibition on the area of Bucharest cleared to build the parliament and taking us to the Ceausescus' tomb. An invaluable day out!

I enjoyed a fantastic and memorable one day hike with Dan in the Ciucas mountains! Dan was very attentive to meeting my hiking ability and requests for a challenging and scenic hike with lots of photo opportunities. I was not disappointed! The mountains are a beautiful reflection of what Romania has to offer! On the way down the mountain, unfortunately an old hiking knee injury of mine reappeared which slowed down the descent, but Dan was very patient and helpful! I appreciated this very much! Overall, a great day out! I look forward to my next visit to the Mountains soon!

Hidden Bucharest
Incredible day with Alina! Took the Hidden Bucharest tour and spent the day wandering around looking and learning about Romania architecture, history, economics, politics, gardens, music and food! This was a wonderful experience for my husband and me and we highly recommend Alina. She speaks perfect English, is an accomplished tour guide and is willing to help any way that is needed. In particular, Alina helped us by searching out and then taking us to a camera store for much needed supplies. Thank you for a terrific day in Bucharest!
