The Ciucaş Mountains are some of the most spectacular in Romania, and are part of the Carpathian range. They boast amazing landscapes and are a perfect choice for both trekkers and photographers.
Some of the highlights of this tour include: bizarre rock formations (The Pigeon, The Tower of Goliath, The Elephant), great photo opportunities from Ciucaş Peak (1954 metres) and 360-degree views of Bucegi, Piatra Craiulu and Brașov.
In the morning we’ll head out of Bucharest towards Vălenii de Munte, Cheia and the Bratocea Pass. We’ll continue hiking in the Bratocea area, enjoy spectacular views from Ciucaş Peak and return to Bucharest in the evening.
This tour is available all year round. There’s usually a lot of snow in wintertime and early spring (December to April), so winter equipment is required.
