The tour begins at 8 am with hotel pick up.
First off we’ll head to the city of Târgoviște, the former capital of the Wallachia region, and visit the old Princely Court from where Vlad the Impaler ruled. We’ll learn more about his life from the exhibition housed in the Chindia Tower.
Our next stop will be in the town of Curtea de Argeș, situated at the bottom of the Fagaras Mountains. Here, we’ll visit one of the most remarkable monasteries in Romania.
We’ll then continue to the northern regions of the Argeș county and venture into the marvellous mountainous landscape. We’ll make a stop at the foot of the Fagaras Mountains to explore a stronghold built by Vlad the Impaler himself: the Poenari Citadel is a mighty fortress on a high hill, dominating the entire area.
We will only see the fortress from the valley as it was closed due to bears attacks
From here we will reach Vidraru Dam Lake and stop here for pictures and to enjoy the view
Finally, we’ll return to Bucharest and drop you off at your accommodation.
