Peleș Castle & Transylvanian Countryside Day Trip from Bucharest

Worth every penny! Dan was a wonderful and accommodating guide, and is genuinely passionate about showing his beautiful country to the world. The lunch in the countryside was definitely a nice touch.

I went on a day trip to Peles Castle, Pestera village, Magura village and Zarnesti Gorges with Dan and it was definitely a highlight of my trip to Romania!! In a day I was able to see a castle, visit picturesque local villages hidden in the rolling mountains, enjoy some excellent home cooking (all organic!), and also walk through a gorge! It is a unique combination of activities that I can't find from other agencies and is undoubtedly a nice sampler of what Romania has to offer if you don't have a lot of time. Dan was very helpful starting from the booking process and was always seeking to tailor the trip according to my preferences. While a lot was covered in a day I didn't feel rushed at all and I was able to take my time taking photos or just taking in the spectacular scenery. Dan is knowledgeable, fun and patient and even my many questions about the haystacks couldn't trick him :) It was great scenery and great company and I definitely hope I can come back again soon for longer hiking trips and to see what new destinations Dan and his team have discovered.
