The tour starts at one of the most impressive buildings of the city, the Palace of Culture, where you can observe its flamboyant neogothic style and admire the beautiful garden behind the Palace. Next, the travel guide will take you to a walk along the main historical street of the city: Stefan cel Mare, where you’ll visit and find out information about the National Theatre Vasile Alecsandri and two of the most imposing religious symbols of Iasi: Three Hierarchs Church and the Metropolitan Cathedral. At the end of the street, you’ll be introduced in the most important place of the city history, the Union Square, where the Romanian Union in 1859 was first celebrated.
From here a bus will take you to a local restaurant, Bolta Rece, for a tasty traditional lunch. In the second part of the tour you will admire a beautiful view over the whole city from the tower of the Golia Monastery. Copou Hill, with its University (first in Romania) and Botanical Garden will complete your day in the cultural capital of Moldavia.
The tour will end with a marvelous view over the city from Cetatuia hill where we will also visit the monastery with the same name.
