In the morning we’ll drive through the Carpathian Mountains to a valley that was deeply loved by the Romanian royal family. We’ll visit their summer residence in Sinaia – the marvellous Peleș Castle, as well as the enchanting Sinaia Monastery.
We’ll then visit another of the valley’s remarkable monuments – the recently restored Cantacuzino Castle. It’s a splendid example of Romanian architecture.
On our way back to Bucharest we'll make one final stop in Azuga. The Rhein Azuga Cellar has been producing sparkling wine for over 100 years and is a great place to spend some quality time. We’ll seize the opportunity to learn about the Cellar and the production process, and also taste 3 different types of sparkling wine produced on the premises.
After having seen and learnt so much, the drive home will give us the chance to meditate, debate and discuss our trip.
