I had a tour done with Alina. She is very informative and pretty helpful as well. She tried to accomodate according to people's preferences. Overall, the tour is interesting and the view along the way is too magnificant to be missed! I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who's looking for something different than the typical city tour. :)

Description

In the morning we’ll begin our journey towards the Făgăraș Mountains – some of the biggest and most beautiful mountains in Romania – also known as the Transylvanian Alps.

Our first stop will be in a town called Curtea de Argeș at the bottom of the Făgăraș Mountains, where we’ll visit one of the most remarkable monasteries in Romania.

Our next stop will be at the foot of the Poenari Citadel – a stronghold that became famous thanks to the Dracula legend.

Afterwards, we’ll reach Romania’s most beautiful and second-highest road, the Transfăgărășan. It was named the best road in the world by Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson. We’ll have 1.5 hours to enjoy the road’s magnificence at its highest point by Bâlea Lake (2034 metres). Possibilities include:

Transfagarasan 1 Day Trip
Transfagarasan Road also named the Transylvanian Alps was a very nice place to visit for one weekend day, we saw many places, such as: Curtea de Arges Monastery, Poenari Citadel- famous thanks to Dracula's Legend, Vidraru Lake, Balea Lake, beautiful Fagaras Mountains views. The road reaches his highest point of 2034 m at the Balea Lake, after passing through Romania's longest road tunnel, the Capra Tunnel. Everybody should visit this unique road, which is one of the highest ones in Romania! We had the trip organized and included : transport from Bucharest , English speaking guide. We took a lot of pictures to remember the places we liked the most! Visit Transfagarasan!
