The Untold Stories of Communist Bucharest
The story goes that Bucharest was called the little Paris of the East, fancy shops and luxurious hotels, a place where art, social life and culture were flourishing. Everything changed after 1947 when monarchy was replaced by communism: new ideas, new life style, new architecture.
I am born and raised in Bucharest, so I love the city and know everything about it, good and bad, therefore being a guide suited me perfectely, also because I like to tell stories, legends and jokes. I am a former teacher and trainer and decided to change my professional life after becoming a divorced mother. I was travelling quite a lot in the past, but now, due to my son, it's a bit more difficult so listening to tourists telling stories about their countries or cities is my way of "mental travelling".
