We did Communist tour during our time in Bucharest and it was brilliant. The highlight was visiting the imposing Palace of the Parliament, a relic from Ceaucescu's tumultuous reign. It really gave us an understanding of why Bucharest is as it is today. Other highlights included Revolution square. Our guide was wonderful, attentive and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour!

Authentic Romania - Communist Bucharest Tour and Palace of the Parliament
This tour is a crash course in the history of Communism in Romania! The highlight of the tour is the Palace of the Parliament. To say this building is impressive is an understatement; there are over 1,000 rooms and a yearly utility bill of 8-12 million EU. The building also holds world records for the largest chandelier and carpet! While the interior is beyond words, the history being presented by a guide who experienced Communism is priceless. I recommend this tour, remember to bring your passport for entry.
Communism tour and the Palace of Parliament with Authentic Romania
We took a communism tour that included the visit to the Palace of Parliament with Authentic Romania. Everything was perfectly organised, we learned a lot about Romania's communist past, and saw all the main communist-era highlights all over Bucharest. Alina took us to the Senate side of Parliament, where we were the only little group visiting at that time. It was such an amazing experience to be there and hear all the incredible facts about this grand building. Would have never been able to see and learn so much without this tour.
