The tour starts with private pick up from your accommodation.
Together we’ll learn about Bucharest’s communist architecture and history, the influence communism had over us, notorious Ceausescu and his wife, and everything they did to the city during their ruling.
The itinerary includes:
- Free Press House and Free Press Square
- Ceausescu’s private villa in the Primăverii district
- Revolution Square
- Memorial of Rebirth
- Iuliu Maniu and Corneliu Coposu statues
- Former Communist Party Central Committee
- University Square: the Intercontinental Hotel and the National Theatre
- Dambovita River and Manuc's Inn
- Unirii Square and the Unirea Shopping Centre
- Boulevard of Socialist Victory
- Unirii Fountains
- Constitution Square
- Palace of the Parliament
Entry to Ceausescu’s private villa and the Palace of the Parliament are optional, but we strongly recommend you visit them since they’re both symbols of the communist era in Bucharest.
At the end of the tour we’ll drop you off at your accommodation.
