Stop 1: Crama 1777 (wine museum)
We'll drive from Bucharest towards Dealu Mare, Romania’s most famous wine region. Our first stop will be Crama 1777, a wine museum and one of the oldest wooden structures in the area, built in 1777.
Stop 2: Bellu Manor (wine museum)
Next, we’ll visit the beautifully restored Bellu Manor, a marvel of old Romanian architecture, built by Baron Alexandru Bellu in the 19th century. The manor doesn’t just house a great art collection, but also an important wine museum.
Stop 3: Casa Colinelor (wine tasting)
After learning about the long history of winemaking in Romania, it’s time for some actual wine tasting at Casa Colinelor. We’ll admire the beautiful vineyards, visit the cellars and winery, and taste 5 types of Romanian wine.
Stop 4: Lacerta Winery (wine tasting)
Just like in Bordeaux and Tuscany, the Lacerta estate stretches along the 45th parallel and thus has the ideal climate for producing wines with a rich, complex, and silken taste.
You’ll get to sample high-quality Romanian wines at one of the most beautiful wineries in the country, surrounded by the endless vineyards covering the hills of Dealu Mare
