Hi, we are visiting Budapest with my friends and we are keen to have a good night out for dancing. Where do you recommend us and why? We do not want any house/electronic music.

Many thanks
Maria

Hi Maria, actually there are many choices, besides the ones already listed check the ship A38, Budapest Park, PONTOON, KOBUCI kert, MIKA Mulató and lots of other places. You'll surely have live music in these places. If you go to MIKA or ELLÁTÓHÁZ, it's easy to swich places, they are near to each other.

Is the A38 open during winter? we are visiting early December. It looks like it is a concert hall, rather than a club?
Indeed, as a tourist I would not go for A38, it is more for local (sometimes international as well) concerts. Those that I mentioned above in my comment are surely open in winter and are more in the city centre.

Thaanks so much.

I think the following three stand out for a proper night out. Doboz, Otkert, Hello Baby.

One more question, when looking images online it looks like some places are open, but maybe they have multiple areas. Also, i am trying to understand whether the suggested places are bars which turn into a club or are proper clubs?

In the UK a pub is where you drink beer, but it sounds that in Budapest the ruin pub can be a club too, am I correct? We are having a hens night out so I woulnt want to risk it! Also we are in our 30s!!

Many thanks again
The suggested places are all for dancing as well, don't worry (also the three you picked). E.g. 4Bro is a restaurant/pub during the day and at night it transfers to 3 separate dancefloors, no restaurant.

Thaanks so much Kriszti!! I can see you are into the food scene too! Do you have any recommendations for restaurants for 8 ladies? Is Mazel Tov nice?
Also, is there a booking philosophy for brunch places in Budapest?
