Ok so it's depend what your in to!
Party wise you have to go to Szimpla one of the most famous bars in Europe, go to Spiler another cool bar in the bar area. Hello baby, ot kert and instant for parties.
Sight seeing: Buda castle, fishermans bastion, szent istvan basillica, heroes square, the big market hall and the big sinogog.
Food: definetly go to ket szerecen, fanky pho(Vietnamese), menza, iguana(Mexican), and for breakfast atable and a la maison.

If you come when the weather is warm, you can have a picnic at "Szabadság híd/Liberty Bridge" may people chat and have a beer while looking at the view of the river.
Check out one of the thermal baths: "Szécsényi Fürdő" is classic, "Rudas" has a rooftop jacuzzi with a view to the Danube.
The Budapest Zoo is nice too but you need at least half a day to spend there. It has buildings form the early 20th century
And there are the classic things to see: Buda Castle, the Parlaiment, St István Dome. You can grab "tram 2" that goes along the side of the river, and see many of them
