I read that I should be on Pest side and that 5,6,7 districts are the best to stay in. Can you advise me please?

Thank you,
Joanne and Martial

You did not provide specifications but airbnb has a lot of listings and there are some really nice apartments available short term at 8-10 Kiraly Utca (pronounced Kirai). I've rented short term from Janos on Kiraly Utca 15 in the heart of Pest for $34 per night 2 bedroom, but it's quite rough and is stairs only at the top --4th floor. Quiet though and very central. Then Gabor has several apartments in the area that are loft apartments: 1 on Kaczinsky Utca and another right next to Janos place at Kiraly 17. But best to go to airbnb and put in the amenities and size/location you want with the dates and search. I live around the world on airbnb but rented a place for a friend who needed elevator access and wheelchair accessible at the 8-10 Kiraly location. search google for that location and call them. They give a 15% discount for cash, but don't know how they handle advance bookings. Maybe booking.com.

Budapest is divided by the river Danube to Buda and Pest. Buda is nice and hilly, with beautiful old villas, but the action is on the Pest side. Question is: where would you like to be? Are you looking for advanture, noise and party or you rather stay in the quiet and onky visit the party pkaces?

Hi Joanne and Martial,

There is a great place on Váci utca (very central location) and it should be available during those dates: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5292292?checkin=09%2F09%2F2016&checkout=09%2F15%2F2016&s=ucB_EgwT

Thank you but we are looking for a cheaper place :)
Hi Joanne abd Martial,

Well, it depends what you prefere. If you want to be in the middle of things, close to events, venues where most of the cultural and social life happens than yes. Újlipótváros part of 13th, inner part of 8th and 9th distric (close to Kalvin tér) is also would be a good option. BUT please be careful, if you pick something in 7th district that can be very annoying, as hordes of tourist ofen do non-stop partying (which means drinking, shouting, pissing in street). Not much locals could stand this and moved out in the last couple of years. So if you want to rest also, this district can be difficult, so check how isolated the flat is form all of these. Anything else?

Depends on what you want. I have an apartment for rent in 9th district, fully furnished, modern, with a huge terrace and balcony. It's on a calm, leafy square and close to public transport. let me know if you are interested.
