Had a great trip with Bernadette and Mike out to Szentendre. Bernadette did an amazing job leading my husband and I around Budapest over to Margarette island then to Szentendre. We not only saw some interesting things along the way, but more importantly had great conversations with these two young people. We learned much about life in Budapest that we know have a greater appreciation for this amazing city and the people. They were fun, well spoken and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company to tour the city. You will be very glad you did.

My dad, brother, future sister-in-law, boyfriend and I went on a bike trip to Szetendre. It ended up being a 50km trip! My dad has NEVER rode on a bike before in his life, so he and my boyfriend rode on a tandem - I did my research and Budapest Bikes is the only place that has tandem bikes! We all had a great time, definitely a highlight of our trip in Budapest! Szetendre was beautiful, and our guides (Zoltan and Dorian) took us to a microminiature museum and marzipan museum, the marzipan museum was just alright, but the micromini was incredible!! so much cooler than lots of bigger museums in budapest, all these artworks are carved on tiny items like hairpins or a piece of hair! Zoltan was knowledgeable and told us interesting things that we haven't heard about in other tours and was very personable. And Zoltan and Dorian took great care of us (because Budapest traffic can be crazy) getting us on bike paths when possible, and having one person leading the way, and one person bringing up the rear. Go here if you want to rent bikes or go on a beautiful bike tour in budapest!!
My husband and I were provided with a tandem, which was great, as he is a keen cyclist and I'm not, so I was frightened I wouldn't be able to keep up. One comment on the bike, I am 1.75m tall, and really too tall for the back of the tandem provided, as I had to sit far back on the seat otherwise my knees hit the handlebars, which was pretty uncomfortable! However we had a great trip to Szentendre, lovely to leave the city and cycle through the countryside. Bernadette was a very pleasant guide with good English, and recommended an excellent restaurant where we had a really nice lunch. I didn't want to cycle back, so stayed in the village to look round the shops - made a few purchases too, as there are some really nice things for sale, much nicer than the tourist shops in Budapest. Unfortunately my husband and Bernadette also had to get the train back as she had a puncture. Could I suggest that a basic repair kit is carried in future? We felt the trip was great value and would recommend it to other people who would like to get into the lovely countryside outside the city.
