A place to reflect and
understand
Parque de la Memoria7
Why locals love it
Sat along La Plata (river delta), Parque de la memoria is a beautiful memorial to the victims of violence in Argentina. Locals often go at there at the weekend to reflect and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. You'll see couples and families sat on the banks overlooking the river, sharing a 'mate' (local drink) or taking a siesta.

Why you should visit it
The memorial and museum give a better understanding of the magnitude of deaths during the dictorship of the 70s and 80s - a history not to be forgotten. It's also a really tranquil and peaceful place if you're wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Special tip
The number 37 colectivo from the area of 'Las Heras' will take you straight to the memorial and straight back to the city in no time.
