Why locals love it

Almost every day of the week (and especially on Sundays) Plaza Dorrego will be entertaining in one way or the other. During the week you will find tango dancers performing to whoever will watch them then on Sundays the square is filled with every conceivable antique you can find.

Why you should visit it

In addition to the antiques and tango, Plaza Dorrego has an interesting history in that it was were locals used to load goods being shipped to and from Europe. Today it's still a buzz of activity and, although sometimes very touristy, it is definitely worth spending a few hours there.

Special tip

If you want to see tango then go on a weekday when you can actually sit and enjoy it in peace. For the market stalls - Sunday is your day.
