Afternoon Tea at The
Alvear
The Alvear 9
Why locals love it
The Alvear is one of those extravagant hotels that only ridiculously rich people can only afford to stay in. However, one thing you can do that won't blow the budget is have afternoon tea there at the "L'Orangerie". The surroundings are as stunning as the towers of sweet treats served with a selection of multiple teas. Deliciously decadent!

Why you should visit it
Of course, Afternoon Tea isn't the first thing you would think about doing in Buenos Aires but take it from me, taking an hour or two for tea and something sweet is how the locals like to spend their afternoons. In fact, the Argentines coin it "5 O'Clock" (it should really be called "Evening Tea").
Special tip
Take a walk further along Alvear(the street where the hotel unsurprisingly lies) and find many more stunning buildings(& to walk off that tea break!)
