Bonaria has played a crucial role in the religious history of the island. Patron saint of seamen and Sardinia, its white façade in gothic-Catalan style stands out in Cagliari’s skyline, overlooking the bay that holds the same name. Main location of local celebrations, even the pope himself chooses Bonaria for his official visits.

The terrible storm ceased as soon as the case had fallen into the water.
