Why locals love it
It's just plain fun! Speedsters of all ages can have a blast zooming down the luge track in summer. Kids younger than 6 can ride tandem with a parent. It's easy to control your own speed, so you can make it as relaxing or as thrilling as you like. The facility provides helmets, and the carts are pretty much impossible to tip over.
Why you should visit it
You get great views of the city and the foothills as you ride the chair lift on the way up. You can ride as many times as you like, and in fact, they have value packages for multiple rides and for families. You should try it at least twice - once to get the feel of it, and a second time to go as faster once you're comfortable.

It's generally open May through September. Note: the hours listed are for July and August. Shorter hours in May, June and September - check website.
