Why locals love it
This hike, although popular can be very quiet and peaceful. The trail is well walked but you can still sit on rock and bask in the sun undisturbed with the sound of a waterfall in the distance. The walk can be completed as a family.

Why you should visit it
In the winter the trail is really beautiful and green. It gives you a taste of our stunning untouched mountains near Stellenbosch. Waterfalls are always something special to behold so this is why I suggest visiting this during your stay.
Special tip
Wear layers, take sunblock, snacks and water. Have your bathing suit if you dare to swim in the freezing waterfall pools.
