If you have not yet found a reason to visit Caracas, having a chance to walk around the house where Simon Bolívar, the Liberator of South America, was born could be an important motive for every culture digger out there. The house dates back to the 17th century (1680) and is the place where Bolívar’s parents lived and raised their family.

The house shows the wealthy environment in which Bolivar grew up: walls and floors made of marble, different chambers as bedrooms, library, kitchen and even an patio that brings natural light to all the areas. It is possible to see the belongings of Bolivar and his family, including precious paintings by famous Venezuelan artists of that time.
You can see the baptismal font in which Bolivar was baptized in. The house welcomes tourists and offers guided visits only if you sign the questbook!
