Why locals love it
This network of "chocolateries" was created by the Venezuelan government a few years ago. The cocoa is obtained from a region called Barlovento. The workers are responsible for the whole process and product is sold at little cafes like Cacao Oderí at fair prices to let common people have access to high quality chocolate.
Why you should visit it
You will be tempted to buy as much chocolate as you can afford, which can be a lot, considering the low price if compared to commercial chocolate brands. They offer cocoa powder, 70% pure cocoa or milk chocolate bars, hot chocolate and fondues!
Relax in the little chairs outside with a cup of hot chocolate while enjoying the view or ask for the nightlife program of the historical center!
