The last colonial town in the city

Why locals love it

El Hatillo is a colonial town in the South East side of the city. It is the place where all the locals go during the weekends to relax and have some coffee and biscuit at the Bolivar central square or drinks at very nice open-air places or to go to one of their very high quality restaurants, all these places are just a walking distance away.

Why you should visit it

Enjoy the picturesque colorful colonial houses that seem to have escaped from modern Caracas (just 12 km away). But these houses give home to banks, public offices and the very famous restaurants, bars and handicraft shops of the area.

Special tip

For awesome Italian food I recommend La Grotta (the cave) at Calle El Comercio and for drinks El Hatillo at Calle Bolívar.
