Why locals love it
At Campo Alegre area in Chacao municipality there is a small café called El Hornito Andino (The Andean Oven). It is located right in front of the SANATRIX clinic. This is important, because when trying to find it, it will be easier to look for the clinic! This place is known mainly for it's appereance and visitors.
Why you should visit it
The food there is not from Caracas – it comes from The Andes, a region in South Venezuela, very rich for its tasteful gastronomy. We suggest taking a seat and having some of the typical Andean baked beef or chicken pies and a coffee or Chicha which is a sweet drink made of milk, widely known and loved in Venezuela.
Special tip
They offer the Andean wheat tortilla, very different from the Mexican or Turkish tortilla (much closer to bread).
