This cool cafe is nestled inside the Duke St Arcade (opposite the castle). Whilst the interior might be small, the menu is anything but! Bursting with traditional breakfasts, quirky brunches, heart lunches and delicious home-made cakes, Garlands is the perfect place to laze away the afternoon (accompanied by a pot of hot chocolate of course!).

Why you should visit it
Garlands feels like Cardiff's little secret. This small eatery has a quaint feel to it, and you know that every meal has been prepared with care and passion. And, of course, the food! It's almost impossible to choose from their rich selection: but if you're there for lunch, we recommend the HUGE bowl of Chilli Nachos... they're irresistible!
Special tip
When we say Garlands is small, we mean it! If you're a party of 3+, you'll struggle to get a seat. Be prepared to wait for a table in busier periods.
