It regularly sits in the Trip Advisor top 10 free attractions in the UK and is easily the most popular free heritage site in Wales. An open-air museum in the grounds of the magnificent St Fagans castle and gardens, it recently received funding for a huge renovation!

Why you should visit it
St Fagans has over 40 original buildings from different historic periods that have been re-erected in this gorgeous 100 acre parkland. Stroll through the grounds and see the houses, farm, school, chapel and work men's institute. If you're lucky you'll also catch a traditional craft workshop: a brilliant insight into Wales' authentic heritage.
