The Senedd (the main public building of the National Assembly for Wales) is a symbol of Wales as a nation. The centre for democracy and devolution in the country, it is a crucial component of Welsh culture. But it's also a public building, and so much about the community which it serves. Locals congregate in the Oriel cafe for coffee and gossip!

Built from traditional welsh slate and oak with the backdrop of Cardiff Bay, this uniquely contemporary building is truly like no other! But the real treat is witnessing Plenary: here you get to watch Welsh Government debate! Sit in the public galleries and peer down on the ministers in action. There's even headphones for English translations!
There's a great seating area facing the water outside. Grab some fish & chips from Top Gun (just round the corner) and reward a hard day's exploring!
