Closest beach to the centre
Why locals love it
This beach is tied to my childhood age. My grandmothers house was very close to the beach so i've spend endless times playing with the vevety sand there or jumping of rocks into the water. Also was the go to place to eat fish in family restaurants.
Why you should visit it
There are a lot better beaches in Chania but this is the closest one. During the low tourist season is a better time to visit or during the high season at around sunset. You can walk seaside all the way to Agioi Apostoloi area
Special tip
You can get fresh fish early in the morning from the small harbour, straight from the boat
