Salis offers a creative twist on traditional Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine, serving dishes from locally sourced ingredients. The deconstructed pastitsio, the slow roasted pork belly and the selection of 5 kinds of cheese are must try. Not the cheapest menu but the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.
If you want to try some dishes that you won't find easily somewhere else in Chania, this is your place. The wine list is very impressive and holds a variety of excellent wines. Other menu items to try are the Cretan style Carbonara (handmade Cretan pasta with wild boar sausage and bacon) and the sauteed cord fish.
