Fresh & ethnic market
in heart of city
Chicago French Market9
Why locals love it
This large market tucked under Metra Commuter Concourse to make the market have a very urban feel. Many feel like this space a hidden gem because it has a lot to offer and doesn't have a mainstream feel. I love walking around the market after rush hour to avoid the crowds.

Why you should visit it
For groceries you can find fresh produce, meats, fish, bread, and cheese. There is a nice selection for breakfast with a couple cafes as well as a good crepe restaurant with sweet and savory crepes. The savory crepes kind of look like a burrito. And sushi, soups, grilled food, and many more!
Special tip
Avoid going to the market for lunch because it becomes quite crowed but if you are up for sticking it out the food is great!
