I'll be in Chicago for the 100th time and this time I'm staying in Bridgeport. Is there any great food around there that I should know about?

Hello and thanks so much for your message. There is tons of great food in Bridgeport! We suggest Nana, Kimski (and Maria's is a great place to hang), The Duck Inn, Pleasant House Bakery, Bridgeport Coffeehouse and Bruno's Bakery. There are tons of great little hot dog stands there as well. Enjoy!

Hey Ülane! It's been a while since signing up, haha. Glad you'll be in my hometown! I wish I was there to show you around! Well, Chinatown is very close! I'm less familiar with the non-Chinatown restaurants in that area. But IN Chinatown, there's Chi Cafe, Saint'a Alp for Taiwanese food, MingHin for award-winning dimsum, Dolo also for dimsum. And then there's Lao Szechwan, which is an award-winning Sichuan-style Chinese restaurant that'a has been around for ages.

What are you in town for? Gonna be in San Diego any time soon? 😀

Been to Lao Szechwan already ;) last October when I was there.
Hi, in the Bridgeport area I would recommend The Duck Inn (2701 S Eleanor) for great food and a great relaxed atmosphere or Han 202 (605 W 31st St) for Asian food.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Bridgeport, IL is a long way from where I am. It is in the southern part of the state I am in the northern. I would download the app help when you get here and seek advice there.

Hi Theresa, I mean the area of Chicago called Bridgeport 🙃
Dusek's, Pleasant House Bakery, Maria's Packaged Good (hipster bar) but it has an adjoining Polish and Korean fusion restaurant called Kimski, Duck Inn, Simone's, Skylark (while a hipster bar, it has great tater tots), San Jose taqueria, Go 4 Food (Asian).

What are tater toys?
Tater tots are pieces of deep-fried, grated potatoes served as a side dish. They are recognized for their cylindrical shape and crispy exterior. "Tater Tots" is a registered trademark of Ore-Ida that is often used as a generic term. Straight from Wikipedia! ;)

Is this Nana's place at 3267 S Halsted St?
That's exactly it! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves there for brunch! Mexican-American type fare and great bloody Mary's.
