There's so much to do!

I think the bean is a great stop to make, of course. As far as pizza goes, the best is Pequods. You'd have to go to Lincoln Park. If you're downtown, a great place to get a taste of local food is Revival Food Hall-- there's a ton of options from local places. I also second the bar on the Hancock. You may want to take a stroll down Michigan Ave, this time of year is beautiful.

If you plan on venturing out to any of the neighborhoods, Logan Square is fun and there are plenty of cool places to eat drink. Lost Lake is a fun Tiki Bar, I love the MacnCheese at Reno, and Gaslight is a great place to stop for a cup of coffee. If you'll be heading a little south, I second that Punch House is a cool stop for drinks.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

If you are going to be downtown you should go to the aquarium the museum of natural history and a short distance away the Museum of science and industry. Take a walk down Michigan Avenue as all the Christmas lights are going to be there. Most restaurants there are very good a couple that we like our Volare for Italian food and capital grill for steak.

Head downtown to the John Hancock and the Observation deck for great views. Then head south on Michigan Ave through Magnificent Mile toward Millennium Park, and from there you can head over to the Art Institute, Shed Aquarium or Planetarium. Of course, you cannot miss pizza, so enjoy thin crust pizza at Pizanos about half block from Millennium Park or for deep dish, my favorite is Giordanos. If it wasn't winter or if the weather is nice I would highly recommend the Architecture Tour from the Chicago River, have fun, it is a GREAT City, in June and September! LOL

I'd also try to get in a show at Second City - usually very funny and topical and very Chicago.

- Rather than paying to go up to viewing platform, go to the Bar at the Hancock for a (pricey) cocktail and great view of city.
- I second the Bean selfie and the Art Institute and if you like ice skating there’s a rink at Maggie Daley park.
- Although it’s hugely popular for some reason I’d skip Navy Pier
- Foodwise there are so many options! For steak I love Gibson’s in the Gold Coast. For Italian I really like Topo Gigio’s in Old Town. I can’t stand deep dish so no recos from me there. For Ramen and a hipster vibe head to Wicker Park. For great cocktails try Dusek’s/The Punch House
Enjoy!

Depends if you want to stick to the classic deep dish (the original at UNO, my favorite at Lou Malnati's), hot dog (Maxwell Street) and Italian Beef (Al's) or you want to explore more. In that case try Lena Brava/Cruz Blanca or one of the many other options in the West Loop.
If you like museums, you can't leave Chicago without going to the Art Institute and a selfie at the Bean in Millennium Park is a must too!
