Sun Wah is a Chicago institution. I hadn't even lived in Chicago yet when my dad started taking me here when I would visit from LA. It seems that everyone loves this place -- it's not just me! Come to this BYOB place on a given night, and there's usually a line of people waiting to get seated. It's that good.

Why you should visit it
Peking duck dinner - it's one of the best meals I've had, and you get a whole crispy duck carved table-side, duck soup, and duck fried rice with a side of pillowy bao buns. You won't be sorry you tried this dinner!
Special tip
Get the pecking duck dinner. Get bbq meats hanging from the window to-go. Don't come on a Thursday- they're closed!
