Women & Children first not only carry great authors, but they regularly hold amazing events for the community. With the recent election in the United States, they've increased their work with the social justice/activism community as well, hosting events to connect women who are interested in protesting.
Why you should visit it
This place is big for a local book shop and also carries a great amount of ephemera (pronoun buttons, t-shirts with book covers, social justice posters). They are a neighborhood staple and should not be missed if you're in Andersonville!
Special tip
Excellent LGBTQIA section and they also carry a lot of great books on race and class as well.
