Everybody loves Villa Erba, where Luchino Visconti, the famous movie maker lived his childhood. It is a beautiful Villa in Cernobbio, just in front of the lake. Now locals go literally crazy for it, because of Orticolario, a big feast that takes place at the beginning of October. In those days everybody come here to see and buy beautiful flowers.
Why you should visit it
When you come to Villa Erba for Orticolario, you can walk trough all sort of wonderful flowers and plants, but you can find little houses for birds to hang up in your garden, of buy old glass pitcher for your kitchen. You can also find jewelry inspired to nature. It's a lot like walking in Alice's wonderland, you'll love it.
