This is the usual destination for the local walks. You can find people running, or with his dog, or just sitting and reading the local newspaper. Why? Easy answer: you can walk from the other side of the lake up to Villa Olmo, and here you can enjoy a complete sight-seen of the lake.
Why you should visit it
Local love this place because is a sort of icon for Como: they love the big yellow Villa with its secular trees, statues, docks and panoramic viewpoints. Napoleon, the poet Ugo Foscolo,the scyentist Alessandro Volta came here invited by marquess Odescalchi who built the Villa. It is a piece of history in the XXI century.
Special tip
Stop and relax on a bench in front of the lake, or take a drink at the bar enjoying the view of the city: from here you can see the Dome very well.
