Why locals love it
Amigo Bar is almost always open, it's cheap and there's a mixed crowd, though ostensibly a gay bar. And one of the classics too. It's just far enough out of the inner city to attract a different clientel than the, at times, over-crowded bars downtown.
Why you should visit it
If you want to hang out, drink, smoke cigarettes when everyone else is already in bed, accept no substitute. They're open until early morning, even during the week, so it's safe bet you won't be the only barfly in for a last round or two. Very reasonably priced.
Special tip
The jukebox has a bit of everything for any taste, so knock yourself out.
