Bodega 54, known mostly as Pauli-bar, is what happens, when a German guy takes over a classic Danish bodega and leaves everything intact. Lacking a place to watch his favorite football games, German expat Andreas decided to bring his hometown of Hamburg to Copenhagen. Here you can enjoy the FC St. Pauli-matches while sipping an Astra-beer.
Why you should visit it
If you're into football, left-wing politics or any combination of the two, you'll feel right at home. The tattooed bar staff spin punk and rock classics - at least as long as there's not a match on. The crowd's generally a friendly mix of people, and it's a great place to start a conversation. Even a dumb, drunken one.
Special tip
Try the mexikaner-shot - a potent mix of tomato juice, vodka and a secret ingredient. Made after the original recipe from the Jolly Roger in Hamburg.
