Located in uber-trendy Kødbyen (Copenhagen's meat packing district) and with a mandate to create simple, authentic Italian dishes, Mother has become an institution of both the food scene and the being-seen scene. On the inside, signs of its butchered past linger in the white-tiled décor, while outside you'll find benches and an outdoor pizza oven.

Mother's weekend brunch buffet (11am - 3pm) is a thing of wonder and joy. At 140kr, it's comparatively cheap, you can refill your plate til you drop, and your choices are endless; pizzas of all varieties pop out of the oven continuously and there are several pasta dishes, breads, cheeses, cold meats, salads, juices and cereals.
Despite its meaty location, vegetarian pizzas are available.
