At only 40kr for an hour-long tour, a trip on Copenhagen's canals is a not only a bargain but an excellent way of catching many of the city's main sights, and without the irritation (or the humiliation) of sitting on a tour bus in traffic.

Guides talk you through a potted history of the city in several European languages as you float past the Royal Palace, the Little Mermaid, Christianshavn and the Parliament. You can start the tour at either Nyhavn or Holmens Kanal, and there are 2-5 departures per hour.
There are several companies offering roughly the same boat tours, but Netto boats are by far the cheapest.
