Sofiekælderen is likely one of the coziest establishments in the district and, yes, all of Copenhagen. Situated in a basement near the canals of Christianshavn, the place is a local institution that's been serving the community for years and years.
Why you should visit it
Other than it being a very cozy place to have lunch or dinner, it's also one of best places to enjoy a jazz concert, which often brings in a great mix of people. Maybe the artists lack the lustre of Montmartre, but you'll hear lots of local talent mixed with the occasional foreign artist in a very nice setting.
Special tip
If you're here in summer, go for lunch at the canal. It really is Copenhagen at it's finest.
