I had a great time on this tour - my guides were super friendly and knowledgeable, very easy to talk to. There were intermittent showers so we ducked into a few bars to escape the rain - great to hang out and chat. I had been staying in Norrebro and the tour was a perfect way to see some of the streets I had missed on my own walkabout over the weekend. Highly recommended!

Description

The tour begins on Dronning Louises Bro – a favourite local hangout that feels more like a park than a bridge. It also happens to be one of the busiest bike lanes in the world!

First off we’ll visit a green courtyard in Nørrebro, where you’ll learn how life has changed in what used to be one of the poorest parts of Copenhagen. We’ll then make our way to Blågårds Plads – a square that continues to play a central role in the area, and also take a walk in Assistens Kirkegård – a beautiful cemetery founded in 1760.

We’ll then continue on to Jægersborggade – a street lined with independent design shops, small restaurants and cafés. After sampling some of the local offerings, we’ll stop at a beer bar for a well-deserved brew. Thirst quenched, we'll head to Superkilen – an urban public park designed by the celebrated Danish architect Bjarke Ingels.

We’ll then grab a drink at a small, unpretentious eatery to experience the epitome of Nørrebro quirk and that hard-to-define hygge feeling. Our tour will end here, but we’ll be happy to share dinner recommendations – there are many excellent places just around the corner.
