Enjoy a scenic drive along the coast of North Zealand to the historic town of Helsingør ( Elsinore) and visit Denmark’s most famous castle ramparts, immortalized by Shakespeare back in the 1600s. The photo stop at Kronborg Castle takes you around the area offering striking views of the coastal location. There many mysteries surrounding Shakespeare are still alive in Kronborg Castle today, which your local guide is pleased to share with you as you go along.
After a short drive the tour takes you to the lavish grounds at Frederiksborg Castle set on three picturesque islets on the castle lake. We will enjoy a guided walk through the captivating symmetry and breathtaking beauty of the gardens and a guided tour inside the castle. As a home also to the Museum of National History, the grounds are full of rich history and architecture. To this day, Danish kings and queens coronation ceremony takes place in the chapel at Frederiksborg Castle.
The day ends with a return transfer back to Copenhagen.
