Description

Meet your guide in central Copenhagen on your own bike or, if you need to hire a bike (additional cost), arrive 30 minutes in advance to organise the rental.

Your tour largely follows cycle paths, so you’ll be mostly away from traffic, and covers 12–15 miles (20–25 kilometres).

Pass the waterfront Copenhagen Mall (Fisketorvet) before crossing a bridge to the Islands Brygge area. Then, trace picturesque waterside paths into the quaint Nokken allotment district.

Situated by the water, this charming enclave is composed of allotment gardens and quirky, hand-built huts and houses. Savour the relaxed atmosphere and learn about Nokken’s roots as a fishing community.

Break for coffee (own expense) at the Sønderbro Haveforening allotment area, and enjoy a fun ride on Denmark’s only Cuban bicycle.

Resuming your tour, ride by Sluseholmen, one of Copenhagen’s upscale residential neighbourhoods. Admire the innovative canal-side townhouses and continue around the flower-filled Frem and Musikbyen allotment quarters into more tucked-away areas – some unknown to many Copenhageners.

After around 4 hours of exploring, arrive back at the start point, where your tour ends.

This tour was fantastic! We spent our first day in Copenhagen hitting all the major attractions. This was completely different. An education about Copenhagen and the working class, how the city is growing and changing, and how the culture is changing. Jorgan was a fantastic host. Enjoy unkown CPH
This tour truly lived up to its name. We traveled through neighborhoods and saw sights that we never would have known existed. Jorge was excellent about making us feel at home in his special places in the city. He told stories of the area as only a native can. This is an excellent tour if you really do want to get off the beaten track!
