I had a great time on this tour - my guides were super friendly and knowledgeable, very easy to talk to. There were intermittent showers so we ducked into a few bars to escape the rain - great to hang out and chat. I had been staying in Norrebro and the tour was a perfect way to see some of the streets I had missed on my own walkabout over the weekend. Highly recommended!

Description

Lovingly nicknamed NørreBronx because of its past reputation as a rough place, this area, once built on the outskirts of the city, now IS the city. Home to over 75,000 people and spanning just 4 square kilometres, it's the most densely populated area of Denmark. But steps have been taken to compensate.

Car traffic has been diverted away, transforming it into an area of sprawling parks, cafés, eateries, culture and, first and foremost, colour. The people of Nørrebro hail from all parts of Denmark and all over the globe.

On this tour you can, for example, slide down a Japanese octopus, play in a crashed plane, and just slow down and enjoy Danes having fun. And be sure to bring your appetite along for the adventure.

We promise you plenty of opportunities to see and find the hip, quaint and unusual, whether it’s buying a souvenir from one of the neighbourhood’s many antiques, design or recycling shops, or discovering amazing street art, cutting-edge parks and innovative concepts.

Great, casual tour
I really enjoyed learning the history of this neighborhood and trying different beers in different settings for each area. I highly recommend this tour if you are a history nerd & enjoy beers from around the world.
Awesome tour with a lot of interesting facts!
Our guide Mie from Urban Adventures made a great job! We enjoyed the tour a lot and learned amazing facts about the neighborhood as well as Copenhagen itself. The 3 hours just flew by and the beer we tasted was really good. I can really recommend this tour. It's a lot of fun!

Such a wonderful peek into what makes Copenhagen so wonderful
We took our first trip to Denmark recently and stayed in Copenhagen for about a week. Before leaving we found the Hygge and Happiness tour that looked like a lot of fun and a good way to learn about the culture and how people really live in Copenhagen.

Our guide to all things Hygge was Sandra. What an amazing person! Full of energy and enthusiasm and you could tell she truly cares about helping others to understand what an amazing place Copenhagen is.

The tour was wonderful as well. It takes you through some big tourist locations, but many many more smaller locations that you likewise wouldn’t find on your own. Even at the more touristy locations, Sandra provided a wealth of knowledge and much better history than you would likely find on your own. The tour also includes two pretty wonderful stops at a bakery and finally a kaffe shop. The food is amazing and the lattes are wonderful.

I highly recommend this tour (and Sandra!). If you want to learn about what makes Copenhagen such a happy place and find some of the hidden gems of the city, you should absolutely take this tour!
