Why locals love it
The Exploiteds somewhat famous song about being the lifelong anarchist is to some degree true for this house. Without getting into the politics of it all, the location on Dortheavej 61 is only about five years old, after 20+ years at Jagtvej in Inner Nørrebro. That got evicted, people were upset, lots of things happened and now it's at Dortheavej.
Why you should visit it
Though Copenhagen has a few user-driven venues and such, Ungdomshuset (though in a new location) probably has the best lineups and the most consistent opening hours. You can count on two to three shows a week, as well as soup kitchen, info-cafe and tons of other activities. Check the site for details.
Special tip
This is the spot for punk/hardcore shows. They also frequently do metal shows, as well as the odd disco and bass music nights.
