The second brainchild of the team behind Oak in Boulder, one of city's most inspired and justly popular restaurants. Though Acorn's aesthetic is more urban-industrial (due to its location in the Source market) in terms of quality the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. At least 10% of the menu changes weekly to accomodate the freshest ingredients.
Why you should visit it
Some of Oak's best items also appear at Acorn, but more than half the menu is original and the philosophy is altogether different; small, shareable plates are emphasized over traditional courses, which makes sampling every one all the more tempting. Further differentiating Acorn is the incorporation of global influences with continental cuisine.
Special tip
Make a reservation as it does get busy, but arrive early regardless to give yourself time to explore the phenomenal vendors of the Source market!
