Illegal Pete's, a homegrown Colorado burrito joint with more street cred than Chipotle (it's much larger, also Colorado-born cousin) is an oasis of cool in the corporate food desert.
Why you should visit it
The burritos are made with fresh ingredients and generously proportioned. You choose all the ingredients by pointing, so infinite avenues of customization are possible. A few good beers are on tap, and the casual atmosphere of the restaurant lends itself to hanging around for a couple pints.
