Santiago's is the go-to hole-in-the-wall for this Colorado classic, evidenced by the slew of contractors who order by the dozens for their crews. One could say the construction of much of the area's infrastructure was fueled by Santiago's.
Why you should visit it
The chili here is a true staple of the regional working and student classes. Breakfast burritos, a bargain at only $2 a piece, are the best vehicle and on offer until 11 am. If you truly relish heat, order the 'hot', but be warned. Otherwise, they'll make you a medium 'half-and-half' mix, or a mellow 'mild'.
Special tip
If you're very hungry order two burritos, they aren't particularly large.
